Q1: What are the four types of POF shrink film and which should I choose?

A: Four grades. (1) Regular POF - 65-67% shrinkage at 140-150°C, for phone boxes and small gift boxes. (2) Low-temperature POF - 71% shrinkage at 100-125°C, for cosmetic boxes and heat-sensitive hot-stamp / UV surfaces. (3) Cross-linked POF - 79-81% shrinkage, for shoe boxes, gift boxes and high-speed lines. (4) Low-temp cross-linked POF - 82% shrinkage at 100-125°C, the premium grade for high-end printed boxes on fast lines. Send us your box type and machine model and we will recommend one.
Q2: What is the difference between POF and PE shrink film for paper boxes?

A: POF is thinner (10-30μm), clearer and glossier, and shrinks at lower temperatures, giving a tight premium look on phone, shoe and gift boxes. PE is thicker, tougher and cheaper, but looks hazy and does not wrap tightly on retail cartons, so it is used mainly for heavy outer cartons and pallet wrapping.
Q3: Is thicker POF film always better?

A: No. Use 12-19μm for phone boxes and small gift boxes, 19-25μm for shoe boxes and medium gift boxes, 25-30μm for large gift / holiday gift sets. Choose the grade first (regular / low-temp / cross-linked), then fine-tune the gauge. Too thick costs more and can shrink unevenly; too thin tears at corners.
Q4: How do I choose film width? What is the MOQ?

A: Measure the maximum cross-section perimeter of the box and add 10-20% margin. For folded (center-folded) film, use box width + box depth + ~20 mm. Send us the box dimensions or a photo and our engineers will recommend grade, width and gauge. MOQ depends on film grade and print requirements; tell us what you need and we will quote.
Q5: Can you print logos or artwork on the film?

A: Yes. We support single-color to multi-color rotogravure printing for branded phone, shoe and gift boxes. Printed film is normally made on Regular or Low-temp POF gloss base (cross-linked grades are usually kept unprinted for high-speed lines). Send your artwork for pricing and MOQ.
Q6: Is POF film eco-friendly and recyclable?

A: POF is a polyolefin material and is recyclable. We use virgin material only, with no recycled content, so clarity and shrinkage performance stay consistent. If you have export environmental requirements, we can provide the corresponding material certification and test reports.
